With gas both liquid and gaseous becoming cheaper due to the Presidents compromises and the industriousness and riches in the land of the free, DO NOT tax at the pomp where the litmus pay big taxes to go to low pawing jobs far away from where they live. Take away the tax breaks from the barons who profit from their government subsidies, and promote their and our addiction to the BLACK gold. Tax the high rollers who actually destroy our infrastructure with their monstrous rigs.

Separate Regular Ed. funding from Special Ed funding. Both are important and regulated by Federal mandates. Some education funding flows into private education, vouchers, home schooling, and, I've heard, our military training. When the funding is lumped together the public makes assumptions about where the money is going. I'd like to see the Federal education funding shown as dollars per student in each category. $2 billion looks great until shown as $500 per student.

Limit an individual's social power with money. Instantiating an 80% tax on all wealth accumulation (salary or capital gains) after, say, $1.5 million. Another route would be to allow individual's to choose to invest or get taxed. We must recognize that as flawed humans, no person has the capacity to wield large sums of money without potentially doing mass damage to others.

Interest Rate Caps (Federal Anti-Usury Statute) and Retirement of Personal Debts: 1) "Get The 'US' Out of USURY": re-institute anti-usury laws at the Federal level (no more exceptions for states like Delaware) with an absolute interest rate cap of 10%; and 2) Repayment of Credit Card Debt: all credit card charges are to be paid off in the order in which they were incurred (chronological order), and AS SOON AS 150% of the original purchase price has been repaid, that debt is PAID IN FULL

During the 1960s we went to the Moon largely because of idealism and because Russia would have made use of the Moon to try to take over this planet. We need to go back to the moon before 2020 so that those countries who are not at all thrilled with us see the Moon as a safe heaven. We would also start colony there that is free for all to visit and eventually live. The restoration of the original Constellation program to take us there and to then to Mars and of course the Asteroids.

restructure the term lengths for Congress. Lessen the term Senators serve to four years and increase the House of Representatives to four years with a 3 term limit. The elections should coincide with the Presidential election every four years so if the voters are dissatisfied with the current administration and Congress they have the opportunity to vote an entirely new set of politicians into office

Create a division of the Dept of Education to develop a curriculum (preschool through high school AND adult education) for Critical Thinking and Metacognition (see Wikipedia) that will include the latest practical findings in neuroscience, psychology, social psychology, behavioral economics and information science. Updated at regular intervals (say 3-5 years) it would assist citizens in focusing on the evidence base and best practice analysis of public issues.

Create a detailed spreadsheet of the line items the federal and state budgets, accessible on the web. Let taxpayers indicate what line item they want their taxes to go to. Presently most people are completely alienated from the evil "Tax and spend Government" as they do not see what their tax dollars support. The proposed webpage will help people understand that their money goes to schools and roads. This also helps us who abhor war to make sure that our dollars do not go to killing people.

The only reason to continue coal mining in the US is keeping the 100,000 jobs. Fund a Federal program to retrain, relocate, and/or pension out those employees. We could be coal-free in less than 10 years and easily meet our pollution reduction targets.

WE NEED A COALITION GOVERNMENT AND DISBAND THE 2 PARTY DUOPOLY STRANGLEHOLD! Do away with the President Election Committee which is controlled by Dem & Rep appointed chairmen. Do away with presidential primaries. Hold a general election that allows many parties and contestants. And the FCC is to make airtime for all Presidential Campaign commercials, to be considered Public Service Announcements - for the public good, and therefore are free of charge, which the FCC has the authority to do !!!
