A GLOBAL 'MEGATONS TO MEGAWATTS' PROGRAM, spearheaded by the U.S.: The amount of fissile material in the world's bombs should soon become the ONLY new material available to produce nuclear electricity in the world's reactors, to be removed from the bombs of the nuclear nations' arsenals to be used for nuclear power -- creating an upper limit on the nuclear power the world will generate and a process by which the threat of thermonuclear destruction will be diminished and finally eliminated.

I think anytime the U.S. uses military action in the world, a mandatory 3% sales tax should be instituted to both help cover the expense and to keep all of us concerned about when it's going to stop.

Make the army an "open-door" hirer. Anyone who wants a job can join the army. Include in the Army's missions; disaster response and preparedness, civil engineering, habitat/environment restoration.

Support Israel and its initiatives as the biggest supporter of Palestinian civil rights and Palestinian statehood. Israel is working to build up Palestinians when they have been torn down and used as pawns. We need to continue to financially and morally back Israel so that peace, security, and justice can be achieved for Palestinians.

Jerusalem is the spiritual home to the world's three major religions. Islam, Judaism & Christianity. It is a hot bed of terrorist activity. Why not make it a nation state like the Vatican and hire the Swiss to police it?

Support self-determination [Kosovo-style] and oppose ethnic chauvinism that violates human rights declarations, conventions, treaties, and covenants, especially in Israel, Ukraine, and the Baltic States where the moral high ground is ceded to Russia which is gaining an advantage by coming to the defense of beleaguered ethnic Russians.Restore national security by prosecuting torturers and terrorists who alienate allies and make enemies with their criminal behaviour that offends human decency.

We need to establish a national college similar to the military academies for the State department. We need trained professional ambassadors for the state department instead of political appointees. We need to have permanent full time ambassadors who speak multiple languages and who have a deep understanding of the cultures that they interface with. Without a long term professional team in the state department, we will continue to have inconsistent policies and programs.

A major reason for our diplomatic failures is the inability of our people involved in foreign relations decisions do not grasp other people think nor the details of their wants & needs. Everyone involved in those decisions, bar none, elected appointed or employed, should spend their first year of employment taking new courses & internships in the mental geography of the world.

Let's transform our military over the next century to use for more humanitarian missions and not for /war. It's a new age and we need to realize war doesn't work to solve conflict, it creates more conflict. Healing foreign relations should involve helping countries build infrastructure, initiatives in health and education. No more arms sales! The war culture and the money poured into it are our biggest problem. Our future survival depends on solutions that benefit the entire global community
